Adenoidectomy

If a child has an enlarged or pathologically altered tonsil, it is called adenoid vegetation. This causes breathing problems, snoring, and recurrent upper respiratory tract infections, hearing disorders, bedwetting, etc.

The tonsil (or adenoid) is a cluster of lymphatic tissue located in the nasopharyngeal vault, which has a significant immune function in childhood – it protects the child's body from viruses and bacteria, producing antibodies against infections in the body. It is one of the most common ENT problems in childhood.
