We are aware that the decision to undergo an artificial termination of pregnancy (abortion) is preceded by mature and difficult consideration for every woman. In this difficult situation for the woman, our greatest effort is to ensure maximum discretion and a safe environment for the client.
Artificial termination of pregnancy (abortion) is a procedure in which pregnancy is terminated at the request of the mother or for medical reasons (i.e., reasons where the pregnancy is not in order from the perspective of the fetus - congenital developmental defects, or from the perspective of the mother, the pregnancy would pose a significant risk to the woman's health). At the mother's request, pregnancy can be terminated up to the end of the 12th week of pregnancy (12 weeks from the first day of the last menstruation). The performance of abortion in Slovakia is governed by Act 73/1986 Coll. and the relevant decree of the Ministry of Health.
In the case of a minor, the condition for performing an artificial termination of pregnancy, in addition to the written informed consent, is also the written informed consent of the legal representative of the minor after prior instruction. Such informed consent must include the date of its granting and the signature of the legal representative.
